Fantastic Weekend

James, Faith and I had a FANTASTIC weekend! We went to Canada to visit with his brother Don and his wife Jodi and their 2 girls-Anna and Eve. Marilyn (James's mom) came with us also. We left Saturday morning and got there around 4pm. Jodi made a yummy dinner (roast w/potatoes, salad, and corn) and then we all went to the park to let the kids play. They all enjoyed that. It was a bit chilly though. Then we headed back to the house and got the kids ready for bed and then the adults had root beer floats! Yum yum to our tums tums! Jodi made fantastic meals for us the entire weekend. She went above and beyond! (thanks again Jodi!!) Sunday we were able to see the two churches that Don is active in. That was great. We really enjoyed meeting the congregations at both churches. Everyone was so friendly to us. Monday morning James, Faith, Don, Eve and I went to the mall to let the girls play on the play area while Marilyn, Jodi and Anna went to a play group for Anna. We all had a great time. We returned to the house, then ate lunch and off we went. The weekend went by too quickly but we are so glad that we were able to make the trip out there. Also, Don and Jodi were very gracious and gave us their truck as they are needing a bigger vehicle with baby #3 on the way and we had inquired about it awhile back. So James drove the truck home. So we are once again a two vehicle family. I enjoyed going out this afternoon with friends and not have to wake up early to take James to work and also worry about being back in time to pick him up. This is such a great blessing to our family.
I have a lot of pictures but am trying to figure out how to post them as a slideshow...so as soon as I figure that out, they will be posted!!!!

Busy Busy Busy

Goodness this week has just flown by! We have just been so busy!!!! James has been busy with work and also softball games. He won all his games this week so that was good. Tuesday night we had a dinner to attend which was a good time. Got to meet new people and fellowship with them.
Tonight sure has been really crazy busy. We are leaving bright and early (ok, for me anyway!) to travel to visit Don and Jodi and their girls. So with that said...we've been busy doing laundry and packing! I didn't realize everything that need to be packed for a baby! Good grief! This child has 3 bags! Plus clothes in our suitcase!!!!!!! I think she has more things than we do. Oh well. Packing is mostly done and we are finishing up laundry and then going to bed. We are anxious to visit this weekend with family. Will be a great time.

Warm Weather, Warm Weather...Come Out Come Out Where Ever You Are!

Goodness...I'm sure looking forward to the nice weather that is supposed to be coming our way. It is May 19 and we're still using our furnace! How sad is that?!?!
Our weekend was pretty good. Friday night we ran some errands and then had dinner at my parents house, Saturday James and Andrew put up our new screen door. Faith and I watched. It was so funny. It was like watching Tim and Al from Home Improvement! The weather was nice on Saturday so Faith and I enjoyed being out there with the guys. Yesterday we went to church and then we had a get together with our small group for lunch at a park. It was fun. Granted, it was FREEZING!! But overall the kids did really well and everyone enjoyed it. We are hoping to get together a time or two this summer also. We are so blessed to be part of such a great small group.
This week is filled with softball games and getting ready to go away this weekend. We are going to visit Don and Jodi. We are really excited to see them and their new surroundings. We are praying that Faith will do well with the trip as we've never traveled with her. I'm sure she'll do fine.
Well, off to keep the little one occupied before she empties all the books off our book shelf.

Double Dose of Faith

Faith loves looking in the mirror! She just thinks it's the coolest thing ever. So the other night before her bath I let her have fun checking herself out. She just laughed and laughed. It was so fun to watch.
We have a new weight and length on Faith. She weighs 15 pounds 6 ounces and is 26 3/4" in length. She's growing!

New Addition To Family

Last night James and I picked up this cute little guy. He really doesn't have a name yet. He's been called Don Juan but James likes the name Tiger. (wonder why?!?!) This is our new foster, so no, he's not ours forever. Although, he's so darn cute and so good with Faith that I am very tempted to adopt him. But, we won't. Faith just LOVES him to pieces. She just giggles and wants to be near him. He's doing really well so far.

Look how little he is! (nevermind my feet!)
Faith loving him licking her fingers.
He knocked her over and she was shocked for a minute.
Then started laughing and enjoying it.

Crazy Wet Hair

Last night was bath night for Faith and while she was having fun splashing away I thought I would have fun with her hair. She just giggled the entire time and thought it was great. Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Diaper Rash + Teething = NO FUN!

Poor little Faith. She has a nasty diaper rash and is also teething. She does pretty good through the day but at night she isn't liking to sleep through the whole night anymore. We're figuring out how to settle her down and then back to sleep she goes. Poor thing just cries and screams so hard. I feel bad for her! No teeth have poked thru yet though. She has lots of bumps, just no teeth. We're waiting to see little white teeth!

Pictures

Ok...so I finally can post some pictures from when Katy and Andrew were here. Hope you enjoy them!

Trying to get them both to look at the same time. So didn't happen. Wonder why?!?! LOL
Again, trying to get them to both look.
Faith crawling on Andrew. He didn't really like it.
Faith on top of Andrew. Note the unhappy face on him.
Faith trying to get her toy from Andrew.
So James and I learned that our precious daughter is a bully! We couldn't believe how rough she was with Andrew. And he did NOT like it and would let us all know. Poor Andrew. Overall though, it was a good time.
