Our Week in a Nutshell

This week has gone by too quickly! We enjoyed time with family a lot this week and also friends. James has his first week of work at FeyenZylstra under his belt. He worked a ton of hours this week. Poor guy even had to work today! But now he's enjoying time home tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully next week will go well for him also.
Last night James took me out on a date. It was so nice to just get out the two of us and relax the entire evening. We went to dinner, did some shopping and out for ice cream! We talked a bunch which was good. We didn't get a lot of time together this past week so it was good that we had last night.
James is looking forward to the Cadet season starting again. He had a meeting this past week for it and has another meeting this week and then I believe they start the week after Labor Day. He will be busy with Cadets this year as he is not only a leader, but also on the council board for Cadets. He's looking forward to a good year.
Faith is walking more and more every day. She doesn't crawl as much anymore. She will choose to crawl if she wants to get somewhere quickly but that's about it. She's learning how to stack her toys and put toys "in" and "out". It's amazing how quickly she learns!
As for me...well...I've been busy keeping the house cleaned and also getting ready for our Bible Study to start up. We are the leaders so I had a bunch of things to get ready. Sure is fun though. We are looking forward to it!

Fun Day

Today Faith and I went to South Haven with my mom and dad. Faith had a great time. We went shopping, out for lunch and also ice cream! Here are a few pictures from the day.

Great Time

This past week we have had the privilege of spending time with James's Uncle George, Aunt Luanne and cousins Rachel and Sara. They live in Nova Scotia Canada (which is roughly 24 hours away). Faith got to meet them and spend lots of time with them. It's always good times with them!

Oh....forgot also to mention that James starts his new job this upcoming Monday!!!!!!! A week earlier than expected. He is super excited!

New Addition

Monday morning James's brother Don and his wife Jodi welcomed into their family another baby girl. Sarah Ruth was born around 6:30am. She was 8 pounds 13 ounces and 20.5"! This is baby girl #3 for them. We can't wait to meet her.

EXCITING NEWS!!

So....James and I have been anxiously waiting to tell you all that JAMES HAS A NEW JOB!! He starts in 2 weeks. He will be working for Feyen & Zylstra. We are so excited and thankful for this opportunity. It is such a blessing and couldn't have come at a better time for us! With just the one income, things are starting to be really rough for us financially and we were wondering what we were going to do. But we put our trust in God and he blessed James with a new job! We are so thankful!

Busy Week

Can't believe that today is Wednesday already! This week has gone by quickly already! We have been busy going here, there, and every where these last few days. Sunday we went to Kalamazoo to meet my brother for awhile. It was good to see him. He enjoys seeing Faith and spending time with her. He is busy working a lot of hours so he doesn't always have weekends off to come to GR so we decided to meet half way. Faith loves her Uncle Kevin too. She always smiles when he's holding her! Makes me wish he lived closer. Maybe next year he'll move back to GR.
The rest of this week also brings more fun things. Tomorrow night we have a cook-out to go to and on Friday we are going to Birch Run. James has the day off so we're going shopping! My mom is coming to. It started out with us gals going but now that James is off, he's coming with! Unless he decides to work on the basement. This weekend is going to be filled with boating with our friends! Can't wait!
Faith is doing good. She is learning new things every day. She has her naughty moments and it's hard to discipline her at this age but we're trying anyways. She has also started to walk more. Before she walked along furniture but now she'll walk all by herself! She takes more and more steps every day! It's so fun to watch her walk. She gets a big grin on her face as she's walking. I'll have to get a video of it and post it on here.
Next week is also going to be a blast! James's Uncle George and Aunt Luanne are coming to town! We haven't seen them in a long time! I want to say it's been like 2 years! So we are excited to have Faith meet them. We can't wait!!

Sore Buns

James and I decided to go for a bike ride today. Little did I know that we would end up going 18 miles. Yes, that's right....18 LONG MILES!!!! My poor buns hurt! Faith had a great time in her bike trailer. She feel asleep for a little bit. It was very cute!

Lucy Attack

We are dog sitting this weekend and Lucy just LOVES Faith. She just can't get enough of her. This is what goes on pretty much the entire time Lucy with around Faith.
