New Hair-Do

Faith's hair is finally long enough to do the "Pebbles Pony-Tail." Today was the first day that I did it as I bought rubber bands last night for her. I think she looks adorable!!

This Past Week

We have had so much fun this past week. Bob, Susie and their 4 kids (Abigail, Joshua, Chloe and Josiah) were in town from New Mexico and we hung out with them every day. It was sooooo good to see them and just have fun with them. On Tuesday we went to the Children's Museum. That was fun. I had never been there before. Sure is amazing! I can't wait until Faith is older to enjoy it more. Wednesday evening they came to James's softball game at the Rec Center. Thursday we got together for lunch and then went to a Whitecaps game (which Whitecaps won!!). Friday we went to a park for lunch and then Bob, Susie, James and I hung out together. We had Faith with us too. The other 4 kids went to Chuckie Cheese with James's parents. The kids had fun there!
Enjoy the pic's on the post below!

Our Weekend

We had a good weekend. Friday night we got together with friends from out of town and went to dinner and hung out afterwards. Saturday we worked on the tree in our backyard that had fallen almost 3 weeks ago. Our neighbors still have yet to call their home owners insurance but we were sick of the tree in our yard. So...we got some friends together and took care of it ourselves! We took 3 trips to the City Of Wyoming with debris and we also have a fair amount of lumber that someone told James they want. Our yard looks much better. We still want to take care of what's left of the tree standing but that will have to wait for another time. (pics are on the post below this from the tree) Sunday we went to church and rested in the afternoon and at night we saw Bob, Susie and their 4 kids. It was GREAT to see them. They are in town this week and we are looking forward to spending lots of time with them.

These are just some recent pictures of Faith in the morning. Hope you enjoy them.

Our Wonderful Summer

I can't believe that July is half over with already. Summer is going by sooooo quickly! But this summer has been so great already and there are still more exciting things to come! We have been able to spend time with Don and Jodi and their 2 girls already. We visited with friends in Colorado and one of my friends was in town from California. It was great to see them. My uncle and aunt from New York were in town and we got to spend time with them too. And looking ahead we will be spending lots of time with Bob, Susie and their 4 kids next week! It has been a year since we've seen Susie and the kids and a bit longer than that since we've seen Bob. Faith has yet to meet her Uncle Bob. Then in August we get to see James's Uncle George and Aunt Luanne. And they too have yet to meet Faith. I have another friend coming in town in a few weeks and I'm looking forward to seeing her and meeting her new baby girl! This summer has just been filled with all kinds of friends and family and we love it!

Camping at Ludington

This weekend James, Faith and I went camping with my parents to Ludington State Park. Growing up as a kid, we went there every year, the 3rd week in July with 3 other families. So Ludington holds a special place in my heart. I just love it there. We arrived Saturday and then James, Faith and I left yesterday. My parents are there all week with the 3 other familes. We wish we could've stayed all week but honestly..it'd be too much for Faith and plus James doesn't have that much vacation time left. It's all spoken for already for what is left of it. Faith had a good time. I do think it was a bit too much for her at times. Very stimulating for her. But overall it was fun. The three of us slept in a tent. Faith did really well in it. I was worried that she wouldn't sleep in there. She proved us wrong! Here are a couple of pictures from our weekend.

My Poor Baby Girl

Faith hasn't been herself these past couple of days and she just has not wanted to eat. This morning she vomited during breakfast and so I called the doctor and they had me talk to the nurse who then was going to talk to the doc and get back to me. Well...about two hours later I called back as Faith was just screaming and would NOT sit still. She was acting like she was in a lot of pain. And then I noticed a rash on her leg. So I called the doc again and the receptionist said that Faith should come in. (which is what I wanted in the first place!!!) So we hopped in the car and off we went. The rash on her leg is a bug bite and she has an ear infection. Her first EVER ear infection. I feel so bad for her! She is just not her happy self. She is all about cuddling which I am taking advantage of. I just love cuddling with her. It's the best! So hopefully she will be feeling better by this weekend so we can go camping!!

Pictures...

Here is the branch that is laying in our yard and on top of the neighbor's garage

Faith and her new "shades"

Our weekend went by too quickly, as always. With Friday being the holiday we were busy all day. Saturday we went swimming again in the afternoon and just relaxed in the evening. Faith was tired from all the swimming in two days! She did wonderful in the pool. She just loved being in it. We are hoping to take her swimming more often. This weekend she'll get to experience the beach and Lake Michigan for the first time as we're going camping in Ludington!

Our CrAzY week!!

Man, this week has just been something else for us. Monday we went to James's parents house for dinner as Don, Jodi and their girls were in town. It was so good to spend time with them. Sure do realize that we miss them more and more after each visit. So we cherish our time with them when we're with them. Their girls are just so cute! Can't wait to meet baby #3 in a few weeks!!
Wednesday we had those crazy storms! We lost power in our house AND one of our tree's in the back yard split and landed on our neighbor's garage!! Not sure if it got struck by lightening or if the wind just caused to to split. I never heard it crash or anything. I was feeding Faith and then looked out the window and saw the tree laying in our back yard and on garage of our neighbors. So....we are waiting to see what happens now. I talked to the wife that lives there and she said they would call their insurance company but we haven't been home to talk with them any further than that. We packed up and are now at my parents house. We will be going back home tomorrow. We did get our power back on a few hours ago but with all our plans for the day, we're just staying one more night here. Plus my brother is here so the whole fam is together! Poor guy is sleeping on the couch. He wanted the bed but James and I had already claimed that!! So he gets the couch. But..don't feel too sorry for him. My parents couch is SUPER comfy!!
We have one busy day ahead of us. Faith is going to go down for a nap here shortly and once she is awake, we are heading to go swimming. I bought all kinds of things for her last night for the pool today. Then we are headed out to my aunt and uncle's house for the rest of the day/evening. Faith will come home with my parents and James and I and hopefully my brother are going to set off fireworks with some friends at their house. Should be a fun filled day!
