I'm a Bad Mommy

My poor honey bunch has a cold and she got it from me!! I feel sooooooooo bad! She's all stuffed up and sneezing. I tried hard to not get her sick but I guess it didn't work. She is so not feeling well. And I'm praying that by Sunday she'll feel better as it's a big day for her! So we might end up canceling our weekend plans so she can just stay home and rest. Depends on how she's feeling within the next few days. But the best place for her right now is home so she can sleep. I feel so bad for her!!!! :(

Teething???

So, I'm not sure but I think that Faith is teething. Is that even possible already? She has been fussy, always putting her hands in her mouth, and drooling like nothing else!!! But then again maybe she's just going thru a cranky stage, which I will be thankful when it's over with! Last night she was screaming and crying non stop for over an hour. No matter what I did or where I put her, she was not happy. So she got a bath and bottle and went to bed. She fell asleep right away. She is sleeping 9 hours a night now! We are so thankful for that! She is in bed by 10pm and will sleep until 7, then she gets fed and then sleeps for another 3-4 hours. Sure is nice! And I've started putting her in her crib for afternoon naps too. That has been great! So I'm having more free time on my hands during the day then what I had before. Which then means I can read or surf the internet! I've finished two books already. I read one yesterday, started another one yesterday and then finished it today! I'm gonna start another book in a little bit. Heck, I would even rather read than watch my soaps!!! Can you believe it?!?!?!?!? I know I can't! It's amazing what a good book does to ya! Faith and I walked to the library yesterday and got some books out and at this rate I think we'll be going back there pretty soon to get more books out! Any recommendations?!?!?

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The Good: A couple of my friends are expecting babies!! Yeah!

The Bad: There has been a lot of miscarriages lately between my friends, and my friends family.

The Ugly: I am sick and I am trying to stay away from Faith but that is hard since she likes to be close to me all the time. So she's just been upset lately and it makes me feel bad and frusterated at the same time. James has been helpful and been feeding her in the mornings so I can sleep in. But today he is working on a side job and so I'm home by myself with her and I'm trying to have her sleep so I can sleep but that isn't working. So then I put her in her bouncy seat so I can clean house, but what does she do?? Yup, you guessed it! She screams and cries. I do have one of those front-pack things but she's still kinda too small for that and plus what good is that gonna do me when I am trying to not get her sick??? Yesterday was nice as James had the day off and he helped me a lot and I got to take a quick nap. Which was nice. Tonight my parents are taking her for a few hours. That will be a big help! So glad my parents can help out like that. They are such a blessing!

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I woke up not feeling good, which totally sucked, but what ya gonna do??? James went and picked up what he needed for his side job for today and then we went to Don and Jodi's house and had lunch with them. It was so good to see them. We will miss them when they move to Canada in a few weeks. We are sad to see them go but yet happy that God is providing them with what they need. He is such an awesome God!
Last night I went to a play with my mom in Muskegon and my dad hung out with James and Faith. They went out to dinner and then came back to our house for a bit. Not really sure what all they did. But by the time I got home, Faith was in bed sleeping and James had almost all the laundry done and put away! What a guy!

Oh so Pretty

One of my good friends watched Faith the other morning for me and this is what I came back to...painted toenails!!! Aren't they just so adorable?!?! I just can't get over it. I so like her nails painted. I think I'm gonna have to keep this up.

9-11

I received an e-mail and this picture was in it. It makes me think about everyone that has been sent over there, all who have lost their lives, and it makes me proud to be an American knowing that there are men and women over there fighting for our freedom. Fighting to make sure we don't have another 9-11 happen in our country.

Sleep

So it has been WONDERFUL sleeping these past 6 nights in a row!!! Mon-Thur night she slept 7 hours, Fri night she slept 8, and last night she only did 6. I feed her and then she goes back to bed for another 3-4 hours. Ok, well, actually, James has been up during the week feeding her since he's up for work anyways and then he puts her back down to sleep. So I just stay in bed. Sure is nice sleeping again! We are praying that she continues sleeping thru the night. Such a blessing!
We took Faith to get her 3 month pictures last night. That was fun. Granted, she didn't want to smile when the camera was on her but the minute the camera was off her, she would put on the biggest smiles ever. Such a stinker she is! Wonder where she gets that from?!?! hmmmmm..... But the photographer did get some nice shots and we can't wait until we can pick them up! We should have them before her baptism so we'll hand them out then to family and friends.
Well, off to take a nap. The whole family is tired and we're all hitting the hay!

Just The Two of Us

James is out of town tonight with Cadets from church. They are staying at the USS Silversides in Muskegon. It's for dads and their sons and the Cadet leaders. So it's just Faith and I. It's our first night alone. So far so good. Granted she is super fussy today for some odd reason. I think she's just tired and is fighting falling asleep. We are just relaxing at home and watching some TV. Sounds fun doesn't it?!? I bet you all wish you were here with us!!!!

Three Months Old

Our sweet little Faith Marie is three months old today! She sure has changed a lot since being born. Her cute face is filling out and she's starting to get little baby rolls on her thighs. It's so cute! She has slept through the night the past 3 nights! It is so great to sleep again!

Keeping Busy

So these past few days we have been really busy and it doesn't look like it is going to slow down anytime soon either. I feel like James, Faith and I have hardly spent anytime together as a family recently. So the rest of this week and weekend, we are going to spend as much time together as we can, just the three of us. I just love having our family time. We don't get a lot of it but we are working on it!

Busy Week

So this past week has been super busy. Sunday we went to church in the morning, some friends came over in the afternoon and we just relaxed in the evening, Monday my parents were over and had dinner with us, Tuesday-Friday James was gone in Wisconsin so I stayed at my parents house with Faith. Her and I were busy hanging out with friends and running errands. James was in a softball tournament this weekend. Played 2 games last night and 4 games today. Faith stayed at my parents house last night but we took her along today and she did really well. I was nervous about how she would do but I had nothing to worry about! She made me proud. Everyone kept saying she's so cute and she would just smile at them like "i know i am!" She had a doc appt earlier this week and she weighs 8 pounds! Yip yee! Well, she weighed in at 8 pounds 2 ounces...but...she had on her clothes and had a wet diaper. So I'm just saying she weighs 8 pounds. Although by now I'm sure she's a tad bigger. She has filled out some more this past week. She's my little cutie pie!

Playing in the Mud

James and his dad worked on an outdoor project of ours. They poured cement in a couple of areas in our backyard! James and a buddy took out the gate that was between the garage and the house last night and then today James and his dad did the rest! Sure was a big job but they got it done!
