Our Trip

Wow...can't believe that our trip to Colorado is over with. We had such a great time. Below are a few pictures from our time there. We have about 200 pictures that we took. Our time was filled with many activities. Once we arrived on Tuesday we met up with Levi, Kayla, Lucas and Jessica and we drove into Golden, CO and walked around a park there. It was beautiful! Then we dropped them off as James and I enjoyed the evening to ourselves. We went to dinner at the Downtown Aquarium. It was a great evening. Lots of fish swimming around us and the food was excellent! Wednesday the guys had the bachelor party all day and evening. They started the day off by going thru Busch brewery and then Whitewater Rafting! James will have to tell you his wonderful story of falling out. Well...almost falling out. If his foot wasn't held in, he would've been completely under water! The guys rented a hotel room downtown and all crashed there for the night. Us gals went out for lunch and to the Denver Zoo. For supper just Kayla, Jessica and I went. Then we just crashed at the hotel. Thursday the guys went and got their tuxes while all of us ladies went and got our nails done. We had manicure and pedicures done. Sure was a relaxing time. We met up with the guys for lunch and then Lucas, Jessica, Dave, James and I went to the Coors brewery. After that it was time for the rehearsal dinner. That went good. Got to meet Kayla's family and some more of Levi's also. Just relaxed after that. Friday the guys went for lunch while the bridal party got their hair done and then picked up Jessica and I at the hotel and off to the Castle we went! We rode in a Hummer stretch limo! Sure was a nice relaxing ride. Our driver was super cool. The castle was amazing! People actually live in this place and rent out a part of it. Just beautiful. The land was gorgeous. It's 20 acres in the mountains. The wedding was just fantastic and everyone had a good time. The evening went by too quickly though. Levi and Kayla looked stunning!!! It was definitely a fairy tale wedding. Yesterday we traveled home. It was soooo good to see Faith when we got off the plane. I went running to her and just squeezed her and gave her TONS of kisses. We missed her so much. I called everyday and talked to her. So glad that she had a good time with her grammie and grampie. She got spoiled!!
Today we've just been relaxing and enjoying our time together and tomorrow is the beginning of another work week for James. Thankfully it's a short one though!

Colorado...here we come!!

Tomorrow morning we are leaving for Colorado for the week. James and I are looking forward to getting away and spending time with each other and friends. Our good friends are getting married on Friday and we are excited to be there with them on their special day. It is going to be beautiful!! Faith will be staying with my parents this week. It is going to be hard leaving her for so long but we know that she's in good hands. I'm gonna miss her bright smiles in the morning and all her chattering when she first wakes up. On the other hand....I can sleep in! LOL She's going to have fun at her grammie and grampie's house. And I'm sure that I will call EVERY chance I get!!!

Life for us has been the same. Nothing really much going on lately. James has been super busy with work and also side jobs. He keeps having to post-pone (did i spell that correctly?!?) his side jobs as his regular job is really busy. We are thankful for that but at the same time poor James just wants to relax. So this week will be good for him. Faith has been busy as all get out. She gets into anything and everything she can. Not much slows her down anymore. It's so fun to just sit and watch her play with her toys and wonder what is going on in her mind. She isn't walking yet but I'm sure she will be soon. Then she's really gonna be everywhere!!!

Well, I suppose I should re-pack what Faith has just un-packed. Please pray that we will have safe travels this week and that we won't miss Faith too much!!

Happy Anniversary to US!!

Four years ago today James and I walked down the aisle and said "I do". Wow...so much has happened in these past four years. Some good, some bad. But thru it all, we've grown closer to each other and closer to God. It's amazing to look back and see how God was present in everything we have done. It's also amazing to see how our family and friends have been there for us too. Especially this past year. We are so blessed!!

Faith's Birthday

Yesterday was just an amazing day! Started at 7:30am with breakfast and then playing for awhile and then nap time. After her morning nap we had lunch and headed out to my aunt and uncles house for Faith to go horseback riding. She did sooooo well!! She never cried once. She loved petting the horse and watching the horse. She just loved riding. (that's my girl!!) She did not want to stop. It was so cute! After that we headed for home, tried to get her to take another nap but was unsuccessful. Went to dinner with my parents to Applebee's and the staff came out and sang their birthday song to her. It was so fun watching her face. She was like "what you guys doing?" It was great. I was amused! Then off to the party we went! We had a lot of family and friends celebrate her 1st birthday with us. Faith had a great time eating her cake (as you can see with the video) and she got a lot of good presents. By the end of the night, she was tired and ready for bed. Overall I think her 1st birthday was FABULOUS!!
Thanks to everyone who helped make her birthday so wonderful. She is one loved little girl!

Not much going on...

We're pretty boring over here lately. Nothing real exciting happening. This weekend was a nice and relaxing weekend. We enjoyed spending time with friends one of the nights and the other night we just stayed home as a family. Felt good to not be on the go all weekend long.
Faith is doing wonderful. We are starting to introduce more regular food to her diet. This morning I made pancakes and she loved them. And wouldn't you know it....she got some in her hair. It's amazing how kids get food ALL OVER!! It's so funny!
That's really all that's happening. Boring...I know! But Friday is going to be a FUN FILLED DAY!! We are looking forward to celebrating our daughter's birthday with friends and family. Pictures will be posted this weekend!!

Wow...

I can't believe that Faith is almost 1 year old!!! Next week Friday she will turn 1!!! This past year has been hard but yet wonderful. James and I learned to really lean on God more than we have in the past and to trust in Him. It's been quite the life lesson for us.
We are going to have a BIG celebration on her birthday. We are starting out by going horseback riding. I can't wait to get Faith up on a horse! So I made arrangements with my aunt and that's what we're gonna do! Then in the evening we are having friends and family over for cake and ice cream at my parents house. (our house is too little to host it). Should be a good time!
